Vivitar V2000 review
Today I thought I’d talk about the Vivitar V2000 as you would expect it’s another 35mm SLR camera, manufactured in the late 80’s early 90’s.
It’s a pretty decent camera for one of their basic models with an ISO range from 25 to 1600 making it pretty versatile as well it has a shutter speed 1/2000 B but it does not have flash sync or a self timer.
I actually bought this camera originally for its lens the model that I picked up was being sold with a 70-210mm lens and the best part is that it uses the Pentax k-mount and for the price I basically got a cheap lens with a camera thrown in free but standard models came with a 35-70mm.
Though the viewfinder it has an LED indicator that is activated by pressing the shutter half way which can be really useful for light indication and getting the correct settings.
This camera was often recommended to students as it’s a great starter camera for learning the basics, however on a personal level I find it a little awkward to hold when winding the film on my finger doesn’t automatically find the shutter and holding it up the leaver gets in the way, but this is probably me being used to my Pentax too much.
In conclusion this is a great solid 35mm camera and the zoom lens it came with is perfect for close up shots.
I bought it from F16 camera store at such a reasonable price and was in great condition when it arrived would highly recommend this retailer and they also do some really great experimental film. (I will definitely be reviewing)
